To do a crime needs courage, to confess needs more courage and to forgive needs most courage. So forgiveness is the best one. As such, best people forgive and worst people take revenge and thereby commit crime. Through confession a guilty soul becomes free and if he is not pardoned then the opponent is equally guilty and burdened with more guilt. A criminal should be punished to save the chastity of the society. But if someone begs pardon then he should also be excused to save the society from his anger and hatred as well.
