THE MUSICAL PERFORMANCE ANXIETY AND PRACTICAL SOLUTIONS

Abstract

Musical performance anxiety or stage fright is an important problem that affects almost all musicians from the students to professional artists. Whether just before stage or during performance, the intensity and effects of this kind of feeling is variable. This necessitated dealing with practical solutions for performers or student studying music. Practical techniques such as "Cognitive Regulation Technique, Exposure Therapy, Relaxation Techniques, Feldenkrais Techniques, Emotional Freedom Techniques" are included in this study to cope with musical performance anxiety. In this study, there were descriptive and qualitative features and literature review method was used.
