INVESTOR PERCEPTIONS OF ULIP RETURNS UNDER MARKET VOLATILITY: A STUDY IN UDAIPUR CITY

SUMAN, DR. KAMLESH

Abstract

This study explores how market volatility influences investor perceptions and confidence regarding Unit-Linked Insurance Plans (ULIPs) in Udaipur City. Using a descriptive and opinion-based approach, primary data were collected through a structured questionnaire from local ULIP investors. The analysis reveals that while investors recognise the impact of market fluctuations on returns, many possess limited awareness of the underlying market mechanisms. Despite this, ULIPs are widely regarded as reliable long-term investments, supported by trust in fund management and transparency. The study underscores the importance of enhancing investor education, promoting timely information disclosure, and developing stability-oriented investment strategies to strengthen investor confidence amid volatile market conditions.
