Abstract

The study aims to explore the impact of study habits on the academic achievement of higher secondary level students in West Bengal. Academic success is influenced by a multitude of factors, with study habits being a key determinant in shaping students' performance. The study investigates the relationship between effective study techniques and the academic achievement of students, assessing various habits such as time management, concentration, note-taking, revision methods, and overall study environment. In this topic “Impact of Study Habits on Academic Achievement of Higher Secondary Level Students In West Bengal” By conducting surveys and interviews with students from multiple schools in West Bengal, the research seeks to identify patterns of study behaviors that correlate with high academic performance. The findings suggest that students with organized study routines, active learning techniques, and proper time allocation tend to perform better academically. Conversely, students who lack structured study plans or face distractions during study periods generally exhibit lower academic outcomes. The study also highlights the influence of parental support and peer interactions on the development of effective study habits. The results emphasize the importance of cultivating positive study habits at an early stage, not only for academic success but for fostering lifelong learning skills. Based on the outcomes, recommendations will be provided for educators, parents, and policymakers to create an environment that promotes effective study practices, ultimately improving the academic achievement of higher secondary students in West Bengal. This research contributes valuable insights into the role of study habits in shaping educational outcomes and can serve as a foundation for future academic interventions aimed at enhancing student performance.
