CORRELATION BETWEEN PEER PRESSURE AND MENTAL WELL-BEING AMONG UNIVERSITY STUDENTS IN ARUNACHAL PRADESH

Abstract

This study aimed to ascertain the correlation of peer pressure and mental health habits of among university students of Arunachal University of Studies campus, Namsai, Arunachal Pradesh. It likewise aimed to determine the significant differences on the extent of influence of peers and their mental health when they were grouped on different categories such as gender (both male and female) and aging 18-25 years. This study utilized descriptive method in describing how peer pressure affects the mental state of one-being. N=23students were utilized as respondents of the study. PPQ and bar diagram were used to assess the significant of peer pressure and mental of the students. Results revealed that there were significant correlation of peer pressure and mental health on students. Moreover, teachers can also influence the students and give helping hand when ever needed.
